May Family Vacay

This has been a wild "Adoption Journey" so far!  We dove in head first & are 'swimming' as fast as we can thru the hoops & stacks of paperwork, struggling sometimes just to stay afloat.  Seriously.  And Cuban Daddy & I aren't the best swimmers in the world, so... ;)
All that being said, we could not have done it without such great support, prayers, & financial donations from our amazing friends, family, church family, & even strangers!
Several weeks ago, we were able to squeeze in a much needed week vacation to the beach!  We are so blessed that my grandparents have a condo that they let us stay at whenever we want!  So, last minute, we (wait, that'd be "I") packed bags, we loaded the car, made Roxy arrangements, & headed south.  Just the 4 of us.  It was JUST what we needed.  As you know, Cuban Daddy works all the time, as we are a one income family.  Although he did have to handle phone calls & shoot a few emails, it was done at night or during naps & not for nearly as long!  The kids were thrilled at having Daddy to themselves for the week!!!  G said, "Every day is 'Daddy Day' on vacation!"  This time together, time away from adoption stuff, time away from work & responsibility, time to relax, was really, really good for our family.
We felt so rejuvenated.

So, as you may also know, I LOVE taking photos.  Especially of my family.  They have learned to put up w/ me, and almost seem to enjoy it most of the time. ;)  I love looking back at them.  It really does 'take me back' to those awesome memories.
And, so for that, here are way too many pics:

She loved dancing in the breeze, feeling the sand on her feet, and finding beautiful shells.  Ahhh.

We were all soaking these moments in...

Hi, my world.

FAVORITE?

Some of our happiest times:

Fistful of seashells & loving every second...

Another fav of mine:  They had their fill of cheap rides, free stickers & lollipops, and apparently pants.
What a great end to our night!

They LOVED the pool too!

Tryin' a new beachy 'do.  Lasted a couple days on the beach!

CD & I are still talking about this little find.
Yes, we had this gorgeous beach almost entirely to ourselves the whole week!!

Catching the waves:

They had mammoth sized appetites all week!

Enjoying the 'pool' Daddy made them.

Love using giftcards for dinner!

Typically a bit reserved, G was the daredevil.  Higher & faster please!
Typically our wild man, K barely made it thru the carousel.

This is the life.

The scene I saw most of the time:

We had to go to this little hole in the wall pizza place we found several years ago.
Seriously, some of the best pizza we've ever had!

Left: Waiting (im)patiently to go to the beach.
Right: Um, rapping??

I've been told I give this look:  ;)

Here's 'higher & faster' for G:

And putting up w/ it, K:

A little taste of paradise

We had a wonderful, much needed time together.  After this vacation, we were rejuvenated enough to dive into our Home Study, and as you know, we finished it!!!

I wanna go back,

~ 6 in Love ~
