Our Photographed Life

I love my life, I love the people in it, and I want the memories captured in photos.
And that's why I take so many.

They 'fell asleep' at the front door, waiting for me to unload the car. Ha!

Daddy has a weekend day off.  Full advantage taken- we head to the park!

I love 'surprising' my kids once in a while.  The other day, I had the rare opportunity to pick G up from school w/o K in tow.  Made it extra special by greeting her w/ milk & a cookie.  Then, we sat in the front seats together and talked about her day.  An extra $1.50 & 5 mins. well worth it.

K embracing the last swim of the summer:

Noni joined us!

Had to bust out jackets one morning.  Good thing these still fit from last year b/c I haven't 'switched seasonal clothes' in the closets yet.

K with his Great Grandma, who is an inspiration to all.  So young, witty, active & fun!

Hanging with my bud...and his bud (the doggy)

A typical TV watching pose.  Right?

One of my best, best friends & I have recently 'swapped' days to let our sweet boys play together regularly.  They couldn't be cuter & have so much fun together!

I wish we had more moments like this.  Quiet, independent play.
Doesn't happen all that often 'round here!

These two are seriously so fun!  Dressing up in costumes, being silly, making up games...
... and iPad play if Mommy's not ready yet...

A rare date night...doubling w/ my little bro & sis in law for some frozen yogurt & an 'adventure'!

Mr. Sporty

A 'tent' turned playhouse that is actually still up in the living room
b/c they're having so much fun w/ it.

My *college girls*!

I didn't feel that we were making the most out of the kids' (sorta small) bedrooms.  I rearranged all of their furniture, taking out rarely played w/ toys, outgrown clothes & shoes, organizing bins, etc.  It took me a few days, but I surprised them each with their own little "book nook," which they were really excited about.  When they wake up before the crack of dawn in the morning, we let them sit here and read.

This was a rare day.  K not running, but lying?  He had  a random one day fever.  After that, bounced back, good as new.  The next day, I felt a molar about to pop thru his little gums.  Maybe?

Wish we did this a little more often as well.  Non structured playtime outside w/o toys.
They were building a nest here.

One of my best buds (like a 3rd brother to me) came back home to visit.  K was a newborn when he was here last, so a lot had changed!

They love Uncle Tori!

Come back soon, Uncle Tori!

G had "Baseball Day" at school. Considering she prefers her 14 tutus to just about anything else, I was glad she could fit in little brother's clothes.  I grew up playing 'ball,' so these pictures reminded me of me when I was little.  =)

Shopping followed by "Kids Eat Free" - fun!

G had her 4 year old check up.  She came in at a whopping 7 % in height (hehe) & 22 % in weight.  Our little petite bug.  She was absolutely devastated to have her finger pricked/iron checked.  A ginormous cookie surprise seemed to help the recovery process.

We got K a 'new' backpack & matching lunchbox at a consignment sale.
He loves it & feels so big!

Caught hiding from Mommy again!

My precious angel

Sunsets are one of my favorite things

G was leader of the day at school.  She also says she wants to be
"the first girl President of the United States of America."
You go, girl, but take Mommy with you to the White House.
Thanks for the shirt from Washington, Popi!!

One day, I was able to squeeze in some special time with my little man.  We went to the park, played soccer, & had a picnic.  Awesome!
I think he's the most gorgeous little boy I have ever seen.
Biased maybe? ;)

Cuban Daddy had to head into 'the city' for Real Estate work.  He took us too & surprised us with a trip to a 'Festival' (my favorite!!).  I glanced back to see this.  And it had to have just been sweetness, b/c he's actually a great driver! ;)

We had to take a bus/shuttle to the Festival.  K LOVES buses, so he was pretty psyched.

Pony rides were a huge hit!
G was thrilled that 'her' pony looked like a real 'My Little Pony,' with rainbow hair & gems.

...and a free petting zoo:

Our girly girl.  On the left, declaring it "pink day."  On the right, dressing up for her 'babies' birthday party' and building a cake for them.

Soccer in the yard w/ Cuban Daddy

Trying to get creative w/ those 'extra few minutes' in the day.

Pipe cleaners & cereal produce fun bracelets.

Dollar store bucket, spoon, funnels, & dry beans proved to be exceptionally exciting!

Again, I realize this is an extremely long post of photos.  Ultimately, this one is for us.
But, I want to share a glimpse into our lives with whomever is interested.  =)
Even if that's just the Grandmas.
