1/2 Way in DOUBLE Month!

Remember our 2 Honduran babies?
Sure, we don't know them yet, but that doesn't change the fact that they exist.
And that they need a home.
And a family.
And that they are ours- well they will be.
And that we are doing all that we can to get them here
as soon as possible! (w/ your help of course!)

14 Days
Multiple fundraising efforts
So many generous friends (!)
$1,699 raised
DOUBLED
= $3,398 total raised this month!

Blown. Away.

Absolutely astounded at what has happened in just 2 weeks!  Cuban Daddy & I would be in disbelief, if it weren't for our Belief!  Oh my gosh.  How do people like us go about thanking people like you?  I don't really know.  We are just amazed at the generosity.  We hope and pray that you are blessed for being a blessing.  Thank you so much!

How did this happen?

Sippys 4 Siblings have been trickling in!
(The kids and I have made more than one trip to the machines to cash in the change!)
Our Fundraising Night at Otters
(Over 55 sweet friends came out to support us at dinner!)
Our 'ADOPT- Words With Him' T-shirt Sales
(31 gone!  Still have many more left!)
Generous, out-of-the-blue, crazy amounts of donations!
($1,300 in 5 days!)

What's due in the next few months?

$300 Paperwork fee
$900 to finish the Homestudy
$ ? for Cuban Daddy's 1st American Passport!
(Although he became a US citizen in 2009, he still has a Canadian one!)
$ 3,500 upon approval of App #2 (due in next couple of weeks?)
Another $3,500 after Home Study
$ ? Cost of Dossier
$ ? Random fees, processing, copies, mail, etc.

So we're looking at maybe another $10, 000 before we get placed on the 2-4 year waiting list.
We're hoping to be on that list this Fall 2012.

So, what does that mean?

We still have a lot more money to raise!
But, we are definitely on our way!

* We had raised around $2,500 from Jan-March.
(*And used $1500 of that for fees, etc.***)
* Then, we're at about $3,400 more for April...
but, April isn't over yet!
And...everything we raise in the  next 2 weeks will be DOUBLED!!!

So, it looks like we are about 1/2 way there for fundraising BEFORE we get on the wait list!      So, another $6-7,000 will cover all expenses before the fall!  (*This is my best estimate based on the figures they have given me.)  I cannot believe I'm saying that.  This is huge!!!

**Of course, there will be many more fees to raise before the babies come home,
but we will have 2-3 years to do that!

This is the 'rush' money.  Crunch time.

Okay, so how to go about raising the next $5,000?

Please continue to turn your Sippys 4 Siblings cups in whenever they are ready.
If you have ordered a T-shirt, but have not paid for it, I haven't included your money, so that will count towards this!  You can send cash or check, or use the PayPal link on our blog.
If you haven't ordered a T-shirt, we still have most of the sizes available.
We do not have any more smalls or mediums in purple.   Send me a message or leave a comment with the size and color you want!

Our Hoping-to-be-Huge Yard Sale is coming up the last weekend of this month!
It will be held in Echo Mill subdivision in Powder Springs.

April 27th 9:00am – 2:00pm
April 28th 8:00am – 3:00pm
We have had a few very generous donations of items to our yard sale, but are hoping to collect much more!  If you have any old furniture, equipment, electronics, toys, clothes of any size, decorative items, etc, we will happily work out a way to pick it up for the sale!  Please let me know as soon as possible so I can plan and make arrangements.  Thank you!

I'm so crazy exhausted right now.  Not getting even 5 hrs most nights has begun to catch up with me.  And Cuban Daddy forgot to bring the liquid caffination home tonight. ;)  I forgive him though.  Side note: You know he's a real estate agent.  He's been getting lots of referrals lately!  This is a huge blessing, as he is our household's sole provider.  Thank you, Jesus!  Speaking of Jesus... we love Him.  We're so thankful for His sacrifice for us.  For dying for our sins & for rising again.
We hope you had a wonderful Easter with your family.
Here's what ours looked like on this special day:

Thank you for helping us make it 1/2 way to our next goal!

Lacking caffeine, but not perseverance,

~ 6 in Love ~

*** I have updated those figures as I had miscalculated when I first posted this.
I forgot to deduct what we had already used for paperwork, etc.
