Family Beach Vacation

In August (yep, still catching up!), we were blessed to be able to take a family vacation, just the 4 of us, to the beach.  

Our favorite place.  Here are some highlights from one of our most memorable weeks of the year:  

We tried our favorite beach spot first.  

Yeah, it wasn't supposed to be BROWN!

We let the kids wade around with a net before we got really grossed out & moved down the beach.

Cuban Daddy & G tried to catch a fish -with NO luck!-  while K waited w/ me.  

Yep, time outs are pretty effective on the beach!

The first time K waded in & swiped his net for a fish...he caught one!  We were cracking up.

Maybe it was luck, or maybe he just has a knack for it.

Regardless, it reminded Cuban Daddy & I both of his Dad- Papi (who passed away Oct 2012).

Fishing is in his genes.

I'm absolutely IN LOVE with the picture above!!

If you could only see the mutual love between K & his Daddy...it's unreal.  I love how he looks up to him ALL the time.  Here he is copying his Daddy, making silly faces to get Sissy to smile.

This place is unreal.

These vacations are memories of a lifetime.  I'm so thankful to get this special time together.
