This is a promise to you. There will be many more promises made, but this one is just a promise for today. A promise that you when you come home, you will have many days like we have had today.
*A day where you wake up and receive a few minutes of undivided cuddles & attention.
*A day with laughing, singing, and playing dress up...all before breakfast.
*A day when you get to have warm biscuits (I did mention you'll be little Southerners, right?) topped just the way you like them (G & K like butter & honey!)
*A day when your big sister may come out of her classroom twice before we leave...just to give you an extra hug.
*A day when you get to peel your own little orange...and make mess that Mommy (usually) won't mind b/c you just love it so much.*A day where you may receive a 'favorite' lunch of homemade quesadillas...and enjoy sitting on the counter to 'help' make them.
*A day where your parents teach you to bless your food & thank the Lord before you eat it.
*A day filled with more (fun) wrestling matches than you can count.
*A day where Mommy loves taking the time to put together puzzles, read books, & play with you.
*A day where you are videod like crazy just b/c Mommy doesn't want to miss a moment of your cuteness...and smartness...and silliness.
*A day where you are taken outside...on a walk, to the park, wherever... just to enjoy this amazing weather! It is beautiful where we live. (This is not a statistic, just purely our opinion!)
*A day where a few minutes are spent making doctor and chiropractic appointments, so that you can be as healthy as possible.
*A day where your Mommy does all that she can to make your world rock, and your Daddy works night and day to provide. (Don't worry, he usually makes it home for baths!)
As I write these few tidbits from our day...a promise that you will share in the future...I realize it's only noon. Think of all the adventures & opportunities that will arise after naptime!
Chances are, at least one of you aren't even born yet. But, that's okay because “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” - Jeremiah 1:5 We know that God already knows you, your life, your future.
We know that the beginning part of your lives are very likely going to be difficult- tragic even. And we SO wish that we could change that. We feel helpless, but we will do the only thing we know to do for you at that time: pray. However, we will do all in our power to make sure that when you come home, your life will contain many more days like today than not.
We are not perfect. Our lives are not perfect. Our days are not perfect. But we think our life is pretty amazing. And we think it'll be even more so when you are added to it.
We love you.
~6 in Love~
